Terms of Use

1. What the service is

OrtakBazar is a listing and matchmaking platform where companies in the member countries publish their products and buyers send quote requests. We are not a broker, an agent or a seller, and we are not a party to the contract, the payment or the delivery between members.

No commission is taken on trade between buyer and seller, and we do not handle payments. At present no fee is charged to members at all; if a paid service is introduced, these terms will be updated beforehand.

2. Membership

You must be 18 or older. When you open a company account you confirm that the information is accurate and current and that you are authorised to represent the company. You are responsible for your account and password.

Opening several accounts for one company, registering on someone else's behalf or creating a fake company is prohibited.

3. Content rules

No content on the platform may contain:

• Goods and services prohibited by law: weapons and ammunition, narcotics, forged documents, smuggled or counterfeit goods, endangered species, sanctioned items.
• Sexual content; content that harms peace, trust or public order; hate speech, insults, threats and discrimination.
• Fraud, money laundering and advance-fee schemes.
• Third parties' personal data (identity numbers, home addresses, someone else's phone number).
• Misleading claims: certificates or capabilities you do not hold, prices that do not reflect reality.
• Advertising unrelated to the item, gibberish and keyword stuffing.

4. Content review

Listings, reviews and requests pass automated review and, where needed, human review. We may refuse to publish, remove content, and suspend or close an account that repeats a breach. The reason is shown in your panel; you can object at bilgi@avristan.net.

To write a review you must have sent the company a quote request. A review must describe your commercial experience; reviews that attack a person are not published.

5. Quote requests

One request reaches at most 25 companies and carries your contact details. Using requests for bulk promotion, spam or harvesting competitors' information is prohibited.

Each company is responsible for the accuracy of its own profile. Doing your own due diligence before trading is the buyer's responsibility; a 'verified' badge means the submitted documents passed a formal check, not a commercial guarantee.

6. Intellectual property

You own the text and images you upload; you grant us the licence needed to publish them on the platform and show them in search results. Uploading someone else's image, trademark or text without permission is prohibited and is removed on complaint.

Rights in the OrtakBazar name, logo, design and software are reserved.

7. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. OrtakBazar is not liable for the trade between members, the resulting contract, payment, delivery or any loss arising from them. Our liability is in every case limited to the minimum the law permits.

8. Closing an account

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and will tell you why.

9. Governing law

Turkish law applies. The courts and enforcement offices where OrtakBazar has its registered office have jurisdiction. Users who qualify as consumers keep their right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts.
